Pharmaceutical Technician I
Position Summary:
- Work Schedule: 2/2/3 Work Schedule - 6:00am to 6:00pm
- 100% on-site
The Chelsea facility is Catalent’s global Center of Excellence for spray dry dispersion and Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI) capsule manufacture and packaging. The site features inhaled powder spray drying, as well as multiple commercial-scale lines for capsule filling and blister packaging. On-site spray dryers include best-in-class GEA Niro SD1, SD4 and SD7, the latter being the largest Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) unit of its kind for DPI in North America.
The Role:
- Operate equipment per SOP under direct supervision; Executes GMP manufacturing operations across assigned unit operations (e.g., spray drying, blending, encapsulation, packaging)
- Performs cleaning and sanitization (CIP, COP, manual)
- Accurately completes batch documentation in real time
- Handles materials, staging, and transfers
- Performs basic inspections of equipment and processing areas; Identifies and escalates deviations, safety concerns, or equipment issues
- Maintains compliance with GMP and EHS requirements
- Other duties as assigned
The Candidate:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Prior experience is not required; 1 year of GMP experience is preferred
- Strong attention to detail is required
- Basic GMP understanding is preferred
- Must have the ability to follow procedures and instructions
Pay:
- The anticipated hourly rate for this position in Massachusetts is $24.00 - $26.00. The final hourly rate offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
