Entry Level Physiatrist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level physiatrist job?
Entry level physiatrist employers look for candidates who have completed a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency and hold a valid medical license in the state where they plan to practice. Board eligibility or certification strengthens an application at this stage. Highlighting clinical rotations, fellowship training, or specific patient populations you have treated gives hiring managers the confidence to bring on a new graduate.
Which companies hire entry level physiatrists?
Companies hiring entry level physiatrists right now include Cleveland Clinic, University of Kentucky, and Mercy, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a range of employers, including hospital systems, rehabilitation centers, academic medical centers, and outpatient specialty practices that are actively building their physiatry teams.
Are there remote entry level physiatrist jobs?
Yes, though most physiatrist roles require in-person patient care. About 0% of entry level physiatrist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and these positions typically involve telehealth consultations, post-acute follow-up care, or administrative and medical-director functions that can be handled off-site alongside a primary clinical schedule.
Are these new grad physiatrist jobs?
Yes. The entry level physiatrist listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles. A new grad-friendly posting typically welcomes candidates with 0 to 2 years of attending experience, accepts those who are board-eligible rather than board-certified, and values residency rotations or fellowship work in place of a long employment history.
Which industries hire the most entry level physiatrists?
Entry Level physiatrist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Non-Profit & Social Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they have ongoing demand for rehabilitation expertise to manage musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-surgical recovery cases across inpatient and outpatient settings.
