Kansas City Bone & Joint is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing outpatient therapy team in the Kansas City metro area.

As part of our continued commitment to expanding access to high-quality rehabilitation services, we are opening a brand-new outpatient physical therapy clinic in Overland Park, Kansas, next year.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work alongside experienced Physical Therapists and orthopedic specialists in a collaborative, physician-integrated environment. This role offers the opportunity to treat a diverse orthopedic patient population while helping patients recover from injury, surgery, and musculoskeletal conditions so they can return to the activities they enjoy.

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals, and contribute to outstanding patient outcomes. The PTA plays an essential role in delivering high-quality care while fostering a positive patient experience.

Essential Responsibilities

• Implement treatment programs established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, functional training, manual techniques, and modalities as directed.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients on exercises, treatment plans, and injury prevention strategies.
• Accurately document treatment sessions and patient responses in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, and clinic staff to provide coordinated patient care.
• Maintain a safe and positive treatment environment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and patient engagement.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, company policies, and professional practice standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current, active, and unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of Kansas (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
• New graduates and experienced PTAs are encouraged to apply.
• Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and customer service.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Working knowledge of electronic medical records and computer applications.
• Ability to pass a background check and any required pre-employment screenings.
