Physician Assistant Jobs in Fort Worth: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a physician assistant job in Fort Worth?
Fort Worth's strongest hiring comes from its hospital systems, large urgent care networks, and the growing cluster of specialty practices in the Near Southside Medical District. Candidates with experience in family medicine, emergency medicine, or orthopedics tend to move fastest here. Tailoring your application to Fort Worth's mix of community health and academic medicine settings, and connecting with hiring managers at local health systems directly, gives you a real edge over candidates applying broadly.
Which companies hire physician assistants in Fort Worth?
Employers hiring physician assistants in Fort Worth right now include Baylor Scott & White Health, Texas Health Resources, and LiveWell Homecare Agency, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Fort Worth's market is anchored by large hospital networks and multi-specialty group practices, with consistent openings across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Are there remote physician assistant jobs in Fort Worth?
Yes, though remote opportunities are limited by nature since most physician assistant roles require direct patient care and on-site presence. About 0% of physician assistant openings tied to Fort Worth are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those roles tend to involve tele-medicine consultations, utilization review, or care management rather than clinical practice.
How can I get a physician assistant job in Fort Worth with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Fort Worth is through urgent care clinics and federally qualified health centers, which regularly hire new graduates and offer structured supervision. Cook Children's and JPS Health Network both run programs that onboard early-career PAs into supervised rotations. Gaining experience in high-volume primary care or emergency settings locally builds the clinical hours that Fort Worth's larger specialty practices look for when hiring for more autonomous roles.
