Physician Assistant Jobs in Seattle: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a physician assistant job in Seattle?
The strongest hiring activity in Seattle is concentrated in hospital systems and multispecialty groups anchored on First Hill and in the University District, plus urgent care and primary care clinics throughout Capitol Hill, Ballard, and the Eastside suburbs. Candidates with surgical or emergency medicine experience stand out here, as do those willing to work across multiple clinic sites within a network.
Which companies hire physician assistants in Seattle?
Companies currently hiring physician assistants in Seattle include University Of Washington, Optum, and ZoomCare, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Seattle's market skews toward large integrated health systems and high-volume specialty practices, alongside a growing number of tech-employer-funded onsite clinics in South Lake Union.
Are there remote physician assistant jobs in Seattle?
Yes, though remote work is rare for physician assistants given the hands-on, clinical nature of the role. About 0% of physician assistant openings tied to Seattle are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those tend to be telehealth or care-coordination roles rather than direct patient care positions.
How can I get a physician assistant job in Seattle with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Seattle is through large health system residency or postgraduate training programs, which several First Hill and University of Washington-affiliated networks offer for new graduates. Urgent care groups and federally qualified health centers in neighborhoods like Rainier Valley and the Central District also hire new PAs, often in primary care or family medicine roles where on-the-job mentorship is built into the position.
Which industries hire the most physician assistants in Seattle?
Most physician assistant openings in Seattle sit in Insurance, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Seattle's density of large hospital campuses, specialty surgery centers, and tech-sector employee health clinics makes those sectors the dominant drivers of local PA demand.
