Arch Materials is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking candidates to fill our need for a Maintenance Technician for our night shift operation located in Batavia, OH. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but not limited to :
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on stationary crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.

- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, and other plant systems.
- Replace or repair bearings, belts, pulleys, motors, gearboxes, liners, and other plant components as needed.
- Conduct welding, cutting, and fabrication work to repair or modify equipment and structures.
- Assist with equipment installation, alignment, and setup of new plant components.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
- Work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient plant operations.

- Operate mobile equipment (e.g., forklift, skid steer, manlift) as needed for maintenance tasks.
- Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications:
- Must have dedication to safe work practices
- Previous maintenance experience
- Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday, as required to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must be willing to work a regular night shift.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Must be willing to work outside in a variety of conditions
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
