Pre Sales Engineer Jobs in Massachusetts

Are you a customer-first networking expert who loves turning complex challenges into smart, secure solutions? We're looking for a Networking Presales Engineer to partner with sales teams by designing, validating, and presenting technology solutions aligned to customer requirements. In this high-impact role, you'll lead technical discovery, design tailored solutions with various technologies and help drive opportunities from concept to handoff—bringing both technical credibility and business value to every conversation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to qualify networking opportunities
• Lead discovery sessions on network architecture and security posture
• Design solutions using Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto technologies
• Develop BOMs, SOWs, and architecture diagrams
• Deliver presentations, demos, and proof-of-concepts
• Collaborate with delivery teams for successful handoffs
• Obtain and/or maintain technical skills and certifications required to meet the requirements of our customers
• All other duties as assigned

SKILLS

• Cisco switching, routing, and enterprise networking
• SD-WAN and edge networking
• Fortinet, Cisco and Palo Alto firewall/security platforms
• SASE / SSE architectures
• Zero Trust networking strategies
• Experience designing LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies
• Proficient in network routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, HSRP
• Wireless design experience, including RF predictions
• Experience in network security, such as designing firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, encryption, authentication, architectures
• Experience working with diverse environments
• Proficient in datacenter networking design
• Familiar with datacenter networking standards, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and datacenter locations as needed

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• 5+ years in presales engineering
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, network engineering or a related field is preferred
• VAR, MSP, or integrator experience preferred
• Strong Fortinet, Cisco and/or Palo Alto expertise required
• Network security and segmentation design experience
• Enterprise network architecture experience
• Collaboration architecture experience is a plus

COMPENSATION

• Salary range: The expected annual compensation range for this role is $125,000-$220,000 OTE (base salary plus commission). Final offer will depend on experience, qualifications, location and other relevant factors.
