Process Engineering Manager Jobs in Oklahoma: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a process engineering manager in Oklahoma?
Most process engineering manager roles in Oklahoma require a bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineering followed by several years of hands-on process engineering experience in energy, aerospace, or manufacturing. While Oklahoma does not require a state license to hold the job title, candidates who earn a Professional Engineer license through the Oklahoma Engineering and Land Surveying Licensure Board gain a clear edge, particularly at refineries and facilities subject to process safety regulations.
Which companies hire process engineering managers in Oklahoma?
Companies currently hiring process engineering managers in Oklahoma include OU Health, CVR ENERGY, and Wheeler Bio, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Oklahoma's energy refining corridor and its aerospace manufacturing cluster in Tulsa and Oklahoma City keep demand for process engineering leadership consistent year-round.
Which Oklahoma cities have the most process engineering manager jobs?
The cities with the most process engineering manager openings in Oklahoma are Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Wynnewood. Oklahoma City and Tulsa drive the majority of listings through their concentration of energy companies, defense contractors, and aerospace manufacturers, while Bartlesville contributes openings tied to Phillips 66's refining and corporate operations anchored in that community.
Are there remote process engineering manager jobs in Oklahoma?
Yes, but they're rare. Process engineering manager work is largely hands-on and site-dependent, requiring direct oversight of production lines, safety reviews, and plant operations that cannot be done remotely. About 40% of process engineering manager openings tied to Oklahoma are remote or hybrid as of July 2026. The portions of the role most suited to remote work include budgeting, reporting, and process documentation review.
How can I get hired as a process engineering manager in Oklahoma with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is entering as a process engineer or manufacturing engineer at one of Oklahoma's large energy or aerospace employers and building a record leading projects before pursuing a manager title. Companies like Spirit AeroSystems and large refiners in the Tulsa area routinely hire new engineering graduates into rotational or associate engineer programs that expose candidates to cross-functional work. Moving laterally from a production supervisor or quality engineer role is another credible route, and earning a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt credential noticeably strengthens a promotion case.
Where can I find and apply to process engineering manager jobs in Oklahoma?
You can find and apply to process engineering manager jobs in Oklahoma on Migrate Mate, which lists current Oklahoma openings across energy, aerospace, and manufacturing employers. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly.
