The strongest path to a product director role in Columbus runs through the city's fintech, health tech, and insurance technology sectors, which cluster around the Short North, Easton, and the Polaris corridor. Employers there tend to favor candidates who can show cross-functional leadership and ownership over a full product lifecycle. Demonstrating experience with Agile delivery, roadmap strategy, and measurable business outcomes gives Columbus candidates a clear edge in a market where those skills are consistently in demand.
Which companies hire product directors in Columbus?

Are there remote product director jobs in Columbus?
Yes, though the share varies by employer type. Strategic and roadmap-focused responsibilities are the most commonly performed remotely across Columbus employers.
How can I get a product director job in Columbus with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Columbus is moving into a senior product manager role first, then building toward director-level responsibility at one of the city's mid-size fintech or health technology companies, which tend to promote from within. Columbus startups in the Pivot Park life sciences incubator and Short North tech cluster also hire associate product leads who grow into director titles. Candidates who combine Agile certification with direct exposure to Columbus's dominant verticals, financial services or healthcare, position themselves most competitively for that upward move.
