Job Summary:
What does a successful Product Manager do?
We are seeking a product leader who can turn market insight, client needs, and payments expertise into commercially successful digital payment solutions. As a Product Manager for the Digital Payments Network, you will define and deliver a strategy to grow the network and monetize merchant receipt of payments. The ideal candidate combines strong product discipline with deep market awareness, competitive instincts, and practical experience across digital payments, merchant acquiring and acceptance, virtual cards, settlement and reconciliation workflows, and real-time payment capabilities.
What you will do
You will own product strategy, definition, and execution for priority capabilities, working across engineering, risk/fraud, operations, treasury, legal, compliance, sales, and marketing to deliver measurable client, customer, and business outcomes.
- Translate market opportunities, client pain points, and competitive threats into clear product strategy, requirements, and delivery plans.
- Develop a deep understanding of merchant and biller needs, including preferences, reconciliation, reporting, and tax filing.
- Lead the product lifecycle from discovery through launch, partnering with Product Owners and engineering teams in a scaled Agile environment.
- Define MVP scope and prioritize the roadmap using data, customer value, revenue potential, risk, effort, and time-to-market trade-offs.
- Own go-to-market readiness, positioning, launch planning, and internal enablement to support adoption and revenue growth.
- Drive cross-functional execution across engineering, operations, risk/fraud, treasury, legal, compliance, sales, and marketing.
- Assess competitors, substitutes, and emerging payment models; translate insights into differentiated product decisions and winning strategies.
- Manage third-party partners and network dependencies, ensuring performance, reliability, and launch commitments are met.
- Define and monitor KPIs that measure product performance, market traction, operational impact, customer value, and profitability.
What you will need to have
- 5–7 years of product management experience owning digital payments or fintech products in an Agile delivery environment.
- Direct experience with payments products, preferably including small business payments, merchant acquiring, card processing, virtual cards, payment networks, or real-time payments.
- Strong market and competitive analysis skills, with the ability to identify trends, define differentiation, and shape product strategy.
- Proven ability to translate customer needs and business opportunities into clear product requirements, MVP scope, and prioritized roadmaps.
- Commercial mindset with experience supporting go-to-market planning, adoption, revenue growth, and product performance measurement.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, including comfort using KPIs and business cases to guide trade-offs.
- Excellent influencing and communication skills, with the ability to align technical, operational, risk, compliance, sales, and executive stakeholders.
- Experience working with fraud/risk, operations, legal, compliance, or treasury teams in a regulated payments environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
