Who's Hiring

Program Manager Jobs in Jersey City: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a program manager job in Jersey City?
Your strongest path is targeting Jersey City's financial services corridor along Exchange Place and Newport, where banks, insurance firms, and fintech companies run large program offices and hire steadily. Candidates who combine PMP certification or Agile credentials with experience in regulated industries stand out here. Networking through Journal Square's growing tech community and attending Hudson County professional meetups can also surface roles before they hit job boards.
Which companies hire program managers in Jersey City?
Companies currently hiring program managers in Jersey City include JPMorganChase and EXL Service, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Jersey City's employer mix skews toward large financial institutions, technology firms, and healthcare organizations, many of which maintain sizable operations here as a close alternative to Manhattan.
Are there remote program manager jobs in Jersey City?
Yes, though it depends on the type of work: program managers overseeing software delivery or cross-functional strategy tend to work remotely or hybrid, while those running construction, facilities, or on-site operations typically cannot. About 100% of program manager openings tied to Jersey City are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the strong presence of financial and technology employers in the area. Roles at fintech and enterprise software companies in the Newport district are among the most likely to offer schedule flexibility.
How can I get a program manager job in Jersey City with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a project coordinator or associate project manager at one of Jersey City's mid-size financial services or healthcare firms, which often grow talent internally. Entry-level roles at back-office operations centers along the waterfront can lead into program management within two to three years. Earning a CAPM certification and volunteering for cross-team initiatives at your current employer accelerates that transition, and Jersey City's dense concentration of large employers means internal mobility is a real option.
