Project Manager – Ground up Residential Construction
Salary: Around $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Type: Full Time
An established General Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to oversee ground-up residential construction projects in New Jersey.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project delivery, coordinating with Superintendents, subcontractors, architects and owners, and ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ground up residential construction projects from planning through completion.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets and overall project coordination.
- Work closely with Superintendents to monitor construction progress and resolve project issues.
- Coordinate subcontractors, architects, engineers and owners throughout project delivery.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders and project documentation.
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Monitor project costs, identify potential risks and address scheduling or budget concerns.
- Ensure project quality, safety requirements and company procedures are maintained.
Requirements
- Proven Project Manager experience with a General Contractor on ground up residential construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and project delivery.
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets and subcontractor coordination.
- Proficiency with Procore and construction management software.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills.
- Professional approach to working with clients, architects and subcontractors.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of project responsibilities.
