Project Analyst Jobs in North Dakota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a project analyst in North Dakota?
A bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field is the standard entry point for project analyst roles in North Dakota. The role has no state-issued license, so employers focus on education and demonstrated analytical skills. Earning a Project Management Professional credential or a Certified Associate in Project Management credential from the Project Management Institute strengthens your application, particularly for roles with North Dakota state agencies, Sanford Health, or energy sector employers like MDU Resources Group.
Which companies hire project analysts in North Dakota?
North Dakota project analyst roles are posted by CVS Health, Knife River, and US Farm Service Agency and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. North Dakota's energy, healthcare, and state government sectors are the most consistent sources of ongoing project analyst openings across the state.
Which North Dakota cities have the most project analyst jobs?
Fargo, Bismarck, and North Dakota account for the most project analyst openings in North Dakota. Bismarck's concentration of state government agencies and utility headquarters drives demand there, while Fargo's larger private-sector base in healthcare systems and technology companies supports steady hiring, and Grand Forks adds volume through the University of North Dakota and regional healthcare operations.
Are there remote project analyst jobs in North Dakota?
Yes, and more than most fields, since project analyst work is fundamentally desk-based and data-driven. About 50% of project analyst openings tied to North Dakota are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how well the analytical and coordination tasks of the role translate to distributed work. The most remote-friendly portions of the role involve reporting, scheduling, and stakeholder communications rather than on-site project oversight.
How can I get hired as a project analyst in North Dakota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for project coordinator or business analyst associate roles, which North Dakota employers such as Sanford Health and state agency contracting offices post regularly as stepping stones into full analyst positions. A Certified Associate in Project Management credential signals readiness even without direct experience. Lateral moves from adjacent roles such as data entry specialist, operations coordinator, or administrative analyst at North Dakota government agencies or healthcare systems are a common way candidates build the project exposure needed to advance.
Where can I find and apply to project analyst jobs in North Dakota?
You can find and apply to project analyst jobs in North Dakota on Migrate Mate, which lists current North Dakota openings updated in real time. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and location preferences, and apply directly to the positions that fit.
