Project Architect Jobs in Orlando: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a project architect job in Orlando?
Target Orlando's three dominant hiring sectors: hospitality and resort development, healthcare campus expansion, and themed entertainment design. Firms working on convention center expansions, hospital system buildouts, and Lake Nona's medical city consistently post project architect roles. Candidates with experience managing complex, phased construction projects and fluency in BIM workflows stand out in this market. Direct outreach to regional offices of national A/E firms in Downtown Orlando also opens doors faster than job boards alone.
Which companies hire project architects in Orlando?
Employers hiring project architects in Orlando right now include DLR, Osborn Engineering, and Little Diversified Architectural Consulting, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Orlando's hiring mix leans toward large national architecture and engineering firms with local offices, hospitality-focused design studios, and healthcare system in-house design teams.
Are there remote project architect jobs in Orlando?
Yes, though with real limits: project architect work is largely site-dependent, so fully remote roles are uncommon compared to purely desk-based professions. About 56% of project architect openings tied to Orlando are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, mostly covering schematic design, documentation, and client coordination phases. On-site presence is typically required during construction administration.
How can I get a project architect job in Orlando with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Orlando is joining a large A/E firm's production team as an architectural designer or project coordinator, supporting licensed architects on active hospitality or healthcare jobs. Orlando's resort and healthcare sectors run high project volumes, meaning entry-level staff get hands-on exposure faster than in slower markets. Pursuing ARE licensure while working and building a portfolio with Orlando-specific project types, such as mixed-use resort facilities or medical office buildings, strengthens your candidacy significantly.
Which industries hire the most project architects in Orlando?
Orlando project architect roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Construction & Real Estate, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Orlando's position as a global tourism hub and a fast-growing healthcare destination keeps design pipelines active in both sectors year-round, sustaining consistent demand for project architects at all experience levels.
