Project Lead Jobs in Jacksonville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a project lead job in Jacksonville?
Focus your search on Jacksonville's strongest hiring sectors: defense contracting, healthcare systems, logistics and port operations, and financial services. Employers in Southside and Deerwood Park, along with the large healthcare networks near the Northside corridor, are consistent project lead hirers. A PMP certification or Agile experience gives you a clear edge locally, and familiarity with government contract environments is a plus in this market.
Which companies hire project leads in Jacksonville?
Employers hiring project leads in Jacksonville right now include RQ Construction, The Haskell Company, and All Weather Contractors, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Jacksonville's mix of large defense contractors, regional healthcare systems, financial firms, and logistics companies means project lead roles appear across both private and government-adjacent employers throughout the metro.
Are there remote project lead jobs in Jacksonville?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role type. About 42% of project lead openings tied to Jacksonville are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with remote work more common in software, IT, and financial services than in construction, healthcare operations, or defense contracting. Analytical and coordination-heavy responsibilities tend to be the most remote-compatible in Jacksonville's market.
How can I get a project lead job in Jacksonville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Jacksonville is through coordinator or associate project manager roles at the city's large healthcare networks, logistics firms near the port, or defense support contractors. These employers regularly promote from within and value candidates who can demonstrate ownership of a small initiative or cross-functional task. Entry-level IT project roles at Jacksonville's financial services firms are also a strong foothold.
Which industries hire the most project leads in Jacksonville?
The sectors hiring the most project leads in Jacksonville are Food & Beverage and Chemicals & Materials, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Jacksonville's position as a regional logistics hub, its large military and defense presence at NAS Jacksonville, and its concentration of financial back-office operations all sustain consistent project lead demand across those sectors.
