SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To provide assistance in managing the daily activity of the services based AbilityOne custodial contract at select sites.
2. To assist the SCVIA Project Manager with maintaining order and discipline within the work area throughout the select site in support of the SCVIA AbilityOne Contract. This includes applying sound management policies pertaining to Goodwill & SCVIA, customer relations, planning, budgeting and work flow, performance-based quality standards, and establish training for the work site setting
3. To devise methods of performing work efficiently and teach those methods to associates/clients.
4. To assist with assigning work to be performed as best satisfies workload and customer per contractual requirements.
5. To assist with the oversight, loading & unloading equipment/cleaning chemicals, daily execution of cleaning responsibilities for each location assigned on a daily basis.
6. To assist with the preparation daily reports, order supplies and tools as required by work performed.
7. To assist in the preparation of bi-weekly payroll input information and keep production work records on each associate/job.
8. To assist in providing direct supervision of cleaning activities and coordinate activities toward program goals.
9. To operate a motor vehicle for transportation of equipment/personnel/supplies, unloading, and moving of materials as needed.
10. To operate company vehicles as needed for deliveries and pickup of materials or associates/clients.
11. To assist with maintaining confidentiality of all records and files concerning the position.
12. To assist with maintaining adequacy, accuracy and punctuality of reports and records.
13. To be willing to work closely with persons with an array of barriers/disabilities to competitive employment while providing a positive “role model” of what is expected in the competitive work place.
14. To manage the performance and administrative responsibilities of the subcontractors or vendors that support our contract sites, in accordance with the subcontractor agreement and contract location performance work statement. This includes the recruitment, development and retention of subcontractors, as needed per the site contract requirements.
15. To maintain and audit the quality performance standards of all contract locations per the scheduled frequencies of the site performance work statement.
16. To perform general housekeeping, custodial and janitorial duties as may be scheduled and assigned.
17. In the absence of the SCVIA Project Manager, for break periods, lunches, sick days, holidays and other period which may require for the SCVIA Project Manager, the Shift Supervisor should be considered as the person responsible for the SCVIA Custodial Division for that period, unless otherwise indicated.
18. To perform all other duties that may be assigned.
Education: Associate's degree preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required.
Work Experience: Minimum of two years of supervisory and driving experience.
Physical Requirements: Daily requirements may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. May be exposed to dust and odors. May be required to do limited work outdoors.
Safety & Security: Responsible for following all safety, and security of SCVIA service areas or as directed by SCVIA policy. Maintain and monitor vehicle logs to ensure compliance with OSHA and SCVIA operational guidelines. Must have valid and current SC Drivers License with limited points for violations.
Report all accidents, however slight, to your supervisor immediately. Never leave the premises without reporting any accident that occurred during your working time. If you should need medical treatment during your non-work hours, you should contact your supervisor. Must comply with all safety personal protective equipment such as safety goggles, hearing protection, safety gloves, etc. as necessary to perform each task while operating powered equipment or any task that would expose the individual to undue risks.
For example:
? Always wear leather shoes which provide good protection for top of your feet; shoes should have rubber heels.
? Strongly recommend the use of "steel-toed" safety shoes.

Work Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Monday – Friday or whatever hours are required to meet the professional requirements of the job.
Work Attire: Each associate should present a fashionable, neat, and clean appearance that will be reflective of SCVIA’s positive image in the community as well as Fort Jackson military post.
