Entry Level Public Relations Representative Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level public relations representative job?
Entry level public relations representative roles typically look for candidates who can write clearly, pitch stories confidently, and manage multiple deadlines at once. A portfolio of press releases, media pitches, or campus communications work gives you a concrete edge. Internship experience at an agency or in-house communications team is valued highly, and familiarity with media monitoring tools or social platforms strengthens your application at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level public relations representatives?
Companies hiring entry level public relations representatives right now include Pinkston, BairesDev, and Ecm Enterprises, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including PR agencies, corporate communications departments, nonprofits, and consumer brands actively building out their communications teams.
Are there remote entry level public relations representative jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles are still common at this level. About 33% of entry level public relations representative openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, giving candidates flexibility in where they work. Many employers prefer new hires to spend time in the office early in their careers to build relationships and get hands-on mentorship.
Are these new grad public relations representative jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior public relations representative roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it explicitly welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or freelance work toward that threshold, or accepts a portfolio of student or volunteer communications projects in place of full-time work history. Searching for junior titles is a practical way to find these openings.
Which industries hire the most entry level public relations representatives?
Entry Level public relations representative roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Sports & Recreation, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors tend to drive hiring at this level because they rely on consistent media outreach, brand storytelling, and community engagement, creating steady demand for junior communications talent to support senior PR staff.
