Regional Account Manager Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a regional account manager job in Chicago?
Target Chicago's densest hiring sectors first: medtech and life sciences along the North Shore corridor, logistics and supply chain firms anchored near O'Hare, and enterprise software companies headquartered in the Loop and Fulton Market. Candidates who can demonstrate a named territory in the Midwest, familiarity with Chicago's distributor networks, and a history of managing complex multi-site accounts stand out. Building relationships through Chicago-area industry associations in healthcare and tech accelerates the search.
Which companies hire regional account managers in Chicago?
Companies currently hiring regional account managers in Chicago include Load One, Amazon, and AstraZeneca, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Chicago's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, regional distribution hubs, and fast-growing medtech and fintech firms means openings come from both large enterprises and mid-market companies managing Midwest territories.
Are there remote regional account manager jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though with limits: regional account manager roles are inherently territory-based, so fully remote positions are less common than in purely desk-bound fields. About 67% of regional account manager openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting flexible arrangements for internal reporting and strategy work. Client-facing travel across the Midwest territory remains a firm expectation for most Chicago-based roles.
How can I get a regional account manager job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is through an inside sales or business development representative role at one of the city's medtech, SaaS, or logistics firms, then transitioning once you have a quota history. Chicago-area distributors and regional carriers frequently hire junior account coordinators and promote from within. Highlighting any Midwest market knowledge, CRM proficiency, or experience managing accounts in Chicago's dense B2B environment moves candidates to the top of entry-level shortlists.
