Regional Coordinator Jobs in North Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional coordinator in North Carolina?
Most regional coordinator roles in North Carolina require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as public health, business administration, social services, or nonprofit management. No single state-issued license applies across the role, but positions in healthcare-adjacent fields may require familiarity with North Carolina Division of Public Health standards or relevant certifications such as a Project Management Professional credential. Gaining experience through county-level program coordinator positions is the most common path.
Which companies hire regional coordinators in North Carolina?
Employers hiring regional coordinators in North Carolina right now include TMSA Public Charter Schools, Lennar, and Boot Barn, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. North Carolina's concentration of large health systems, state agencies, and logistics companies in the Charlotte and Raleigh metro areas makes it one of the more active markets for this role.
Which North Carolina cities have the most regional coordinator jobs?
Apex, Raleigh, and Winston-Salem have the most regional coordinator openings in North Carolina. Charlotte drives volume through its large corporate headquarters and health system presence, while Raleigh and the broader Research Triangle benefit from a dense cluster of state government agencies, university systems, and healthcare networks that routinely hire coordinators to manage multi-site programs.
Are there remote regional coordinator jobs in North Carolina?
Yes, but they are less common than in purely desk-based fields, since many regional coordinator roles require in-person site visits and community relationship management. About 50% of regional coordinator openings tied to North Carolina are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, which reflects growing flexibility in reporting and administrative duties. Grant-funded nonprofit coordinators and state program administrators are the most likely to offer hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a regional coordinator in North Carolina with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a program associate or community outreach coordinator role, which large North Carolina employers such as county health departments, UNC Health, and nonprofit organizations affiliated with United Way chapters across the state frequently post as entry-level positions. Volunteering with North Carolina-based community organizations or completing an AmeriCorps placement with a state partner builds directly relevant credentials. A public health or social work degree from a North Carolina university also carries weight with hiring managers at state agencies.
Where can I find and apply to regional coordinator jobs in North Carolina?
You can find and apply to regional coordinator jobs in North Carolina on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and the counties or regions you want to work in, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
