- Develop, implement and manage regional procurement strategies, ensuring overall alignment with corporate objectives.
- Accountable for achieving EFR and margin targets.
- Maintain ongoing contact with the Territory Manager, Customer Account Representatives, Merchants, Manager, Grain Marketing and Facility Operations Managers.
- Create, implement and manage all regional grain procurement and marketing programs in conjunction with sales staff, operations staff and grain merchandising to achieve optimum financial results.
- Monitor profit and loss figures relating to grain marketing programs. Monitor business operating results against established budget objectives and priorities
- Accountable for the provision of real time information regarding on farm inventory, competitive pricing/programs, products that are available to the Regional Manager and Merchants.
- Responsible for the settlement of customer concerns and disputes within the region, internal and external to the company.
- Responsible for all aspects of the team’s human resource management including hiring, promoting, performance management and discharging within company policy.
- Lead, coach and manage the team to ensure excellence, awareness and commitment to the client, team and the department’s goals and objectives.
- Ensures all Customer Account Representatives training is current and continuing education is completed.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Minimum eight (8) years of demonstrated successful experience in the area of grain procurement. Three (3) years of this experience must have been in a mentorship capacity
- Post-secondary degree in Agriculture or Commerce.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.
