Senior Level Regional Sales Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level regional sales manager job?
Employers at this level want candidates who have owned a regional P&L, consistently hit or exceeded quota across multiple territories, and can demonstrate they have coached and developed junior sales talent. Highlight specific revenue outcomes, the complexity of the accounts you have managed, and any experience building or restructuring a sales team. A background in strategic account planning and cross-functional leadership gives candidates a clear edge.
Which companies hire senior level regional sales managers?
Companies hiring senior level regional sales managers right now include Jobot, Giga, and Core & Main, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Hiring at this level tends to concentrate in organizations scaling their sales infrastructure, entering new markets, or replacing outgoing leadership with candidates who can step in and own results immediately.
Are there remote senior level regional sales manager jobs?
Yes, though most senior regional sales manager roles still involve meaningful field time given the territory ownership these positions carry. About 32% of senior level regional sales manager openings are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, typically structured so that administrative and strategic work happens remotely while client-facing and team leadership responsibilities require in-person presence.
What makes a regional sales manager role senior level?
Senior level regional sales manager roles involve owning an entire territory's revenue strategy, not just executing against a plan someone else set. These positions carry accountability for forecasting, pipeline health, and team performance, and they typically require the candidate to mentor junior managers or individual contributors. The scope is broader, the stakeholder visibility is higher, and the expectation is that you identify problems and solve them without significant direction from above.
Which industries hire the most senior level regional sales managers?
Senior Level regional sales manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Staffing & Recruiting, and Manufacturing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. These sectors tend to drive the most hiring at this level because they operate through distributed, territory-based sales models where experienced leaders who can own regional performance independently are consistently in demand.
