Sacramento Dentistry Group is looking for a reliable, motivated, and experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team! We are a busy dental office with 3 doctors and 2 hygiene providers, so we are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, communicates well, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Position: Part-Time Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Pay: $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday
Office Hours:
- Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Tuesday/Thursday: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
Hours and scheduling may vary based on office needs and the appointment schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assist the hygiene team with patient care and daily clinical needs.
- Provide chairside assistance to doctors during dental procedures.
- Take dental X-rays and scans using the iTero scanner.
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures.
- Clean, disinfect, and turn over treatment rooms between patients.
- Assist with periodontal charting and documenting diagnoses during exams.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and education as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with doctors, hygienists, and other team members.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient office operations and a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
- Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required.
- Experience in a general dentistry office preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols.
- Experience taking dental X-rays and using an iTero scanner preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced dental office.
- Dependable, punctual, professional, and a team player.
