- Lead verification planning from architecture through tapeout.
- Develop block-level, sub-system and full-chip verification environment and tests to implement test plans.
- Establish reusable verification methodologies and frameworks - scale testbenches to subsystem and full chip environments
- Work closely with design and architecture teams to understand the functional and performance goals of the design; and work together to make the design-under-test work under all specified circumstances.
- Triage and debug functional and performance issues with the design-under-test.
- Drive verification signoff criteria and quality metrics - handle bug tracking, coverage convergence, regression failures.
- Mentor and technically guide verification engineers helping them through test planning and verification closure.
- Perform diagnostic and post-silicon validation tests in the lab.

- Expert in System Verilog, UVM, Constraint Randomization, Functional Coverage.
- Experience in C/C++ or System-C
- Deep understanding of object oriented programming principles, constrained random stimulus, and coverage driven verification approach.
- Verification experience of high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, DDR/HBM, SerDes, etc.)
- Scripting experience (Python, Perl, TCL, shell programming) highly-desirable.
- Interest to explore AI architectures for convolution, transformer and other kinds of workloads
- Self-starter and highly-motivated to work in a dynamic start-up environment.
- B.S. (M.S. preferred) degree in Electrical or Computer engineering (or similar field).
- Ground floor opportunity with the team; be part of shaping one of the most exciting new companies.

Tips for Your Remote Asic Verification Engineer Job Search
Tailor your resume to verification methodology
Hiring managers scan for UVM, SystemVerilog, and coverage-driven verification upfront. List the specific methodologies you've used for each role, not just the simulators. Vague claims like 'verification experience' get passed over when engineers with explicit UVM scoreboards and functional coverage metrics are applying.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists asic verification engineer openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Filter openings by design domain
Verification roles differ sharply between CPU, memory, mixed-signal, and connectivity blocks. When searching, target postings that match the design domain you've actually worked in. Applying with directly relevant block-level or subsystem experience dramatically improves your callback rate.
Document your coverage closure contributions
Resumes that quantify coverage closure, such as the percentage of functional coverage bins you closed or bugs you found in formal versus simulation, stand out. Reviewers want to see that you drove verification completeness, not just wrote tests and waited for results.
Prepare a testbench walkthrough for interviews
Technical screens almost always include a live walkthrough of a UVM testbench or constrained-random environment you built. Practice explaining your scoreboard architecture, sequence layering, and how you handled corner-case generation out loud before the interview, not just in your head.
Negotiate using competing offer timelines
Semiconductor hiring moves slowly, so if you have multiple applications in flight, let recruiters know when you have a deadline from another offer. Teams with open headcount often accelerate approval to avoid losing a candidate, especially at senior and staff levels where the bench is thin.
Remote Asic Verification Engineer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote asic verification engineer job?
Target companies that already run distributed teams, since they hire remotely by default and know how to onboard someone they never meet in person. Remote asic verification engineer employers screen hard for self-direction and clear written communication on top of the core skills, so show evidence you can own work without someone over your shoulder. Apply to the openings above that match your experience.
Which companies hire remote asic verification engineers?
Employers currently hiring remote asic verification engineers include Tensordyne, Cornelis Networks, and Nvidia, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Remote-first firms and large companies running distributed teams post the most remote asic verification engineer roles.
Can you get a remote asic verification engineer job with no experience?
Yes, but it is harder than an on-site role, because remote work expects you to operate independently from the start. Entry-level remote asic verification engineer openings do exist, especially at remote-first companies, and a portfolio of real work helps more than a long resume. Applying broadly to the roles that fit improves your odds.
Do you need a degree for remote asic verification engineer jobs?
Not always. Many employers hire remote asic verification engineers on demonstrated skills and prior work rather than a specific degree, though some larger companies still prefer one. Showing relevant results matters more than a credential for most remote asic verification engineer roles.
Which industries hire the most remote asic verification engineers?
The sectors hiring the most remote asic verification engineers are Electronics & Hardware, Law & Legal Services, and Technology & Software, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors run distributed teams and hire asic verification engineers remotely most consistently.
