Tips for Your Remote Energy Account Manager Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote energy account manager openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your background and apply directly. Remote postings often close faster than on-site ones, so applying early puts you ahead of the field.
Prove your async communication skills upfront
Remote energy account managers close deals and retain clients without face-to-face contact, so employers screen for written clarity early. Include a cover letter or message that demonstrates concise, client-ready writing, and reference tools like Slack, email sequencing, or CRM activity notes you use day to day.
Quantify your remote pipeline management
Distributed sales teams want proof you can own a book of business without oversight. Highlight specific metrics from remote or hybrid roles: renewal rates, quota attainment, or the number of accounts you managed independently using tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRMs.
Target remote-first energy firms directly
Companies built around distributed teams have roles, processes, and onboarding designed for remote account managers. Search for renewable energy brokers, energy management software firms, and commercial energy advisors that list remote-only positions, since these employers won't expect or prefer local candidates.
Prepare for remote interview formats energy employers use
Many energy companies conduct remote interviews over video with a short written or scenario-based assessment to test communication skills. Practice answering objection-handling and account retention questions on camera, and be ready to walk through how you manage a client relationship entirely through digital channels.
Remote Energy Account Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote energy account manager job?
Target companies that already run distributed sales teams, such as renewable energy providers, energy brokers, and utility software firms, since they have the infrastructure to support remote account managers. Remote employers screen heavily for self-direction, clear written communication, and the ability to manage client relationships without in-person contact. Demonstrating CRM proficiency, a history of hitting quotas independently, and comfort with async communication tools gives candidates a strong edge.
Which companies hire remote energy account managers?
Remote energy account manager roles are posted by SOLV Energy, Atwell, and AtkinsRéalis and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. The most active hirers tend to be remote-first energy brokers, renewable energy developers, and distributed SaaS companies serving the utility and commercial energy sectors.
Can you get a remote energy account manager job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level roles are harder to land because you must manage your own pipeline and client relationships without an office support structure from day one. Remote-first energy brokers and smaller renewable firms are the most likely to consider candidates without direct experience. Showing documented sales results from any industry, comfort with CRM tools, and strong written communication can open doors where a resume alone won't.
Do you need a degree for remote energy account manager jobs?
Not always. Remote employers in energy sales weigh demonstrated account management results, CRM fluency, and energy market knowledge alongside or instead of a degree. Candidates who can show consistent revenue retention, contract renewals, or new business wins from prior roles, even outside energy, are competitive. A degree in business or a related field helps with some enterprise employers but is rarely the deciding factor.
Which industries hire the most remote energy account managers?
Most remote energy account manager openings sit in Consulting & Professional Services, Technology & Software, and Manufacturing, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors favor distributed teams because their clients and prospects are spread across multiple regions, making remote account management a natural operational fit.
