We need your experience and talent to help NJ Journeymen satisfy the new requirement to complete a USDOL registered apprenticeship program before becoming Licensed Electrical Contractors.
Join our dynamic NJIEC team as an Online Technical Education Instructor. Curriculum, presentations, worksheets, testing, and all technology are provided. In this rewarding role. you will motivate and inspire experienced electricians to “fill in the gaps” as they review and refine their skills in electrical systems. Your expertise will help NJ Journeyman reach that “next level” of NJ Licensed Electrical Contractor. This part-time, contract position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while advancing your own professional growth in technical education.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and informative live, online instruction to experienced journeyman electricians.
- Foster a positive learning environment and encourage active participation.
- Assess student progress through evaluations, demonstrations, and written assessments; provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Highlight safety procedures throughout the class in compliance with all OSHA regulations.
- Incorporate adult education principles to effectively teach diverse learners with varying backgrounds and experience levels.
Requirements
- Must be a current NJ Licensed Electrical Contractor in good standing.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Prior classroom or training experience preferred; ability to adapt teaching methods for adult learners and/or online instruction is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- This role is perfect for passionate professionals eager to share their expertise while helping experienced electricians gain vital knowledge and skills to meet requirements to take the NJ Licensed Electrical Contractor’s exam.
Pay: $51.00 - $55.00 per hour
