Senior Partnerships Lead - New York/East Coast | Remote
The Mission
We are building the engine that powers our partners’ growth. You are not here to "manage a channel." You are here to build a repeatable, scalable, and automated sales machine. You are a Builder-Seller: an expert who understands our technical product well enough to handle introductory, product focused conversations, and a hunter who knows how to drive the sales outcome. Our ecosystem is primarily composed of VARs, MSPs, and SIs. Your success is defined by their success. You are the architect of that relationship.
The Scoreboard (Lag Measures)
Success is binary and measurable. You own these three outcomes:
- New Bookings: You are accountable for the revenue generated through your partners.
- Partner-Sourced Pipeline: You are the bridge. We don't want "fluff"; we want high-quality, qualified opportunities formally accepted by Fastly.
- Active/Engaged Partners: We prioritize depth over breadth. You own the health and activity level of your partner portfolio.
The Daily Work (Lead Measures)
You don't get the outcomes above without the inputs. You are expected to operate with high agency on:
- Co-Selling: You are in the room. You provide the technical and sales support to help partners close their deals.
- Enablement: You ensure our partners’ teams are smarter than our competitors’. You deliver the playbooks, training, and technical confidence they need to lead with Fastly.
- Co-Marketing: You execute "Marketing to, through, and with" your partners. You don't just "do" marketing; you drive pipeline-generating events and campaigns.
- Machine Building: You identify the operational "bugs" in our deal registration or onboarding processes and you fix them. You don't wait for permission; you build the better way.
The Individual We Are Looking For
- Deeply Technical, Commercially Driven: You can explain WAF, bot detection, and edge infrastructure to an engineer, then switch gears to explain the financial model (rebates, margins, MDF) to a business owner.
- Builder-at-Heart: You prefer fixing an underlying process once for everyone over executing a manual workaround ten times. You use data to identify where the friction is.
- High-Agency Owner: You don’t need a task list. You see a gap in partner engagement, you build the fix, and you report the result.
- Ecosystem Fluent: You have significant experience working with VARs, MSPs, and SIs. You understand the unique economics of their business and how to make Fastly a foundational part of their service offering.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ Years Experience: Proven track record as a high-agency individual contributor in cloud, edge, or enterprise software.
- Ecosystem Expert: 3+ years of direct experience driving revenue within the VAR/MSP/SI ecosystem.
- Autonomy: A history of driving cross-functional alignment without formal authority.
- Technical Credibility: Deep understanding of the modern stack: WAF, DDoS, Edge Infrastructure, and serverless compute.

Tips for Your Remote Partnerships Lead Job Search
Prove async partnership skills upfront
Remote employers want to see that you can run partner conversations without in-person contact. Document examples of deals or programs you advanced entirely through written updates, shared decks, or recorded demos. Concrete async wins speak louder than a list of responsibilities.
Find remote openings in one place
Migrate Mate lists remote partnerships lead roles from across the U.S., so you can search current openings and apply directly to the ones that fit your background without sorting through listings mixed with in-office roles.
Signal self-direction in your application materials
Remote partnerships leads are expected to identify and prioritize partner opportunities without daily direction. Your resume and cover letter should show how you set your own pipeline, managed a partner book autonomously, and moved programs forward without a manager in the room.
Prepare for remote-specific interview formats
Distributed teams frequently assess partnerships candidates through async video responses or written case studies before a live call. Practice presenting a partner strategy or co-sell scenario concisely on video, since your ability to communicate clearly without real-time feedback is part of what they're evaluating.
Highlight distributed partner ecosystem experience
Remote-first companies hire partnerships leads who already understand working with partners across time zones and without shared offices. Name the tools you've used to coordinate, the partner types you've managed, and any cross-regional programs you've run. That specificity differentiates you from candidates with only co-located experience.
Remote Partnerships Lead Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote partnerships lead job?
Target remote-first SaaS companies, fintech platforms, and B2B tech firms, which are the most consistent hirers of remote partnerships leads. Remote employers screen hard for self-direction, crisp written communication, and comfort running partner conversations asynchronously. A demonstrated history of managing co-sell, reseller, or integration partnerships without hand-holding gives you a real edge over candidates who have only worked in-office environments.
Which companies hire remote partnerships leads?
Remote partnerships lead roles are posted by Ingersoll-Rand, Siemens, and Molex and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Remote-first software firms and distributed B2B platforms are the most active hirers, particularly in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and digital media.
Can you get a remote partnerships lead job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level partnerships roles are harder to land because you're expected to manage partner relationships independently from day one. Early-career candidates can strengthen their case by showing affiliate or channel project work, results from any cross-functional collaboration, and strong async communication skills. Smaller remote-first startups and contractor roles are the most accessible starting points.
Do you need a degree for remote partnerships lead jobs?
Not always. Many remote employers care more about a clear record of building or managing partner programs than a specific credential. Demonstrated results, familiarity with partnership tools and CRM platforms, and the ability to work independently carry significant weight. A degree can help in more formal or enterprise hiring processes, but it rarely substitutes for relevant partnership experience.
Which industries hire the most remote partnerships leads?
The sectors hiring the most remote partnerships leads are Technology & Software, Manufacturing, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors rely on distributed partner networks and integration ecosystems that naturally support fully remote partnerships functions.
