At Veracity, we aim to be a different kind of insurance partner – one that is free from outside investors, venture capital, or the pressures of a corporate parent.
Ours is a culture of empowerment – one that believes in effort, results, and accountability. We believe that transparency fosters trust, trust fosters growth, and that growth drives innovation. Our commitment to rigorous evaluation and relentless execution lead to rapid evolution.
We answer only to the small business owners we serve, and this independence allows us to stay focused on what matters most: helping their businesses thrive by providing expert guidance and best-in-class insurance policies.
We’re growing fast and want you to be a part of it!
We're seeking an experienced and technically sharp Commercial Lines Practice Lead to join our remote team. Reporting to the VP of Professional Development, this is a founding role within Veracity's retail division – one of the first senior insurance professionals to shape a retail model that doesn't exist yet.
Veracity is not a traditional agency experimenting with technology. We've already proven a better distribution model exists – over $40M in online premium is the evidence. Now we're applying that same thinking to retail, and we're building it from scratch with the intention of proving it, systematizing it, and scaling it across our entire retail operation. This individual will serve as the technical authority for one or more commercial lines product families, defining how we bring those risks to market and ensuring the knowledge architecture you build becomes the foundation our AI and technology team scales on top of.
If you want to build something that doesn't exist yet – this is the right opportunity. What you build here will define how we distribute commercial insurance for the next decade.
Key Responsibilities
- Define coverage standards and market approach for each class of business within your product family
- Serve as the final technical reference for complex risk placement, carrier selection, and coverage questions across the retail channel
- Identify coverage gaps and completion needs across our customer base and develop strategies to address them
- Review product materials, agent-facing content, and marketing collateral for regulatory accuracy and E&O exposure before distribution
- Monitor changes in carrier guidelines and market standards that affect your product family and ensure distribution practices remain compliant
- Serve as the internal compliance voice for your product family in cross-functional conversations
- Serve as the primary on-demand technical resource for the agent channel — the person agents reach when a risk is unfamiliar or a placement is complex
- Develop training programs, proficiency benchmarks, and reference tools that elevate agent performance across your product family
- Build the knowledge frameworks that our AI and technology team will use to create scalable agent support tools
- Work alongside our marketing team to develop accurate, compelling product content and campaign strategy for each class of business in your family
- Partner with program managers on new product launches, capacity negotiations, and carrier relationship management within your product family
- Serve as the insurance voice in cross-functional planning conversations, ensuring technical accuracy across product development, marketing, and distribution
- Work directly with our AI and automation team to translate your expertise into scalable technology solutions, workflow automations, intelligent lead routing, and agent support tools
- Serve as the technical knowledge source that our systems team builds on top of, ensuring the intelligence we encode is accurate and commercially sound
- Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
- 7+ years of P&C insurance experience with genuine breadth across commercial lines – GL, PL, Property, and related lines
- MGA, carrier, wholesale broker, or E&S underwriting background strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate unfamiliar risks and develop subject matter expertise independently – you don't wait for a manual
- Strong working knowledge of compliance considerations, regulatory requirements, coverage adequacy standards, and E&O risk
- Experience developing others – formally through training programs or informally as the person colleagues brought hard questions to
- Ability to translate complex insurance concepts clearly for marketing, technology, and operations teams without losing technical precision
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-moving, build-from-scratch environment
- Genuine curiosity about the intersection of insurance expertise and technology
- CIC, CPCU, AU, AINS, or similar designation preferred
Perks
- Health, dental, and vision plans
- Amazing work-life balance with 4 weeks of Paid Time Off
- 10 Paid Company Holidays with 2 floating holidays
- 401K Programs with employer match
- Personal assistance programs for support in a healthy personal and work life

Tips for Your Remote Practice Manager Job Search
Show your async communication skills upfront
Remote practice managers run operations through written updates, shared documents, and structured check-ins rather than hallway conversations. Include examples in your resume of decisions you communicated in writing, documented processes you created, or remote teams you coordinated.
Target remote-first companies directly
Companies built around distributed teams hire remote practice managers far more consistently than traditional firms adapting to remote work. Focus your search on telehealth platforms, cloud-based legal practices, and multi-location professional services groups that have never relied on an on-site manager.
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote practice manager openings from practices and firms across the U.S. in one place. Search the current openings, identify the roles that match your background, and apply directly before postings fill.
Demonstrate fluency with practice management tools
Remote employers expect you to hit the ground running with software like EHR platforms, billing systems, or project management tools. Name the specific platforms you've used on your resume and describe what you accomplished with them, not just that you know them.
Prepare for a structured remote interview process
Remote practice manager interviews often include a written scenario or take-home case to assess how you think through operational problems without real-time back-and-forth. Practice writing clear, structured responses to problems like staff scheduling conflicts or workflow breakdowns before your interviews.
Remote Practice Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote practice manager job?
Target companies built around distributed teams, such as telehealth platforms, remote-first law firms, and cloud-based professional services groups, because these employers already have the infrastructure for a practice manager to operate without being on-site. Remote employers screen heavily for self-direction, clear written communication, and comfort managing workflows, vendor relationships, and staff coordination asynchronously. Demonstrating experience with project management tools and documenting your results in past roles gives you a real edge.
Which companies hire remote practice managers?
Employers currently hiring remote practice managers include Two Chairs, Veeva Systems, and Baker Tilly Canada, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Remote practice manager roles tend to concentrate at remote-first healthcare organizations, distributed legal practices, and professional services firms that manage operations across multiple locations without a central office.
Can you get a remote practice manager job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level practice manager roles are harder to land because employers expect you to work independently from day one without on-site supervision or training. Smaller remote-first clinics and startups are the most likely to hire candidates with limited formal experience. Showing hands-on exposure through office coordination, administrative leadership, or volunteer operations work, alongside strong written communication samples, can open the door.
Do you need a degree for remote practice manager jobs?
Not always. Many remote employers weigh demonstrated operational results, familiarity with practice management software, and a history of managing teams or workflows more heavily than a specific credential. That said, healthcare-focused roles often prefer a degree in health administration or a related field. Certifications in practice management or healthcare operations can substitute for formal education with the right employers.
Which industries hire the most remote practice managers?
Remote practice manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Accounting & Auditing, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors hire practice managers remotely because they operate distributed teams across multiple states and need someone who can coordinate operations, compliance, and staff without relying on physical presence.
