Tips for Your Remote Real Estate Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote real estate openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your license, specialty, and experience level and apply directly without sorting through unrelated listings.
Lead with your digital transaction tools
Remote real estate employers prioritize candidates who already know the platforms they use. Name the specific tools you've worked with, such as Dotloop, DocuSign, Skyslope, or Salesforce, early in your resume and cover letter so hiring managers see it immediately.
Prove your async communication skills
Remote real estate teams run on written updates, video walkthroughs, and email threads instead of desk conversations. Highlight examples of client communication you've handled remotely, such as virtual showings, email-only closings, or digital offer negotiations, to show you can perform without being on-site.
Target virtual brokerages and PropTech firms
Companies built around remote operations, including virtual brokerages and real estate technology platforms, already have the systems to support distributed agents and coordinators. Filtering your search to these company types cuts out employers who only want in-office candidates.
Remote Real Estate Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote real estate job?
Target companies that have already built distributed teams, such as PropTech platforms, virtual brokerages, and online title or mortgage firms, because they have the infrastructure to onboard remote real estate professionals. Remote employers screen for self-direction, clear written communication, and comfort with digital transaction tools like DocuSign, Dotloop, or CRM platforms. Demonstrating a history of closing deals or managing properties without heavy in-office oversight gives your application a clear edge.
Which companies hire remote real estates?
Employers currently hiring remote real estates include Ryder System, Crown Homes Real Estate, and Sayles Team, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Remote hiring for this role is most common at virtual brokerages, PropTech companies, and distributed mortgage or title services firms that run transactions entirely online.
Can you get a remote real estate job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level real estate roles are harder to land because employers expect you to work independently from day one without in-office coaching. Virtual brokerages and PropTech platforms are the most likely to hire entry-level remote candidates. You can strengthen your case by completing a state licensing course, showing proficiency with transaction management software, and demonstrating strong written communication in your application materials.
Do you need a degree for remote real estate jobs?
Not always. Most remote real estate roles require a valid state license rather than a four-year degree, and remote employers weigh your licensing status, transaction volume, and familiarity with digital tools heavily. For PropTech or real estate operations roles, demonstrated software skills and a record of completed deals or managed properties often matter more to hiring teams than a specific academic credential.
Which industries hire the most remote real estates?
The sectors hiring the most remote real estates are Accounting & Auditing, Agriculture & Farming, and Hospitality & Tourism, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors rely on distributed teams that handle listings, transactions, and client communications entirely through digital platforms, making remote real estate professionals a natural fit.
