Tips for Your Remote Solution Manager Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote solution manager openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your background and apply directly without sorting through general listings that mix in on-site positions.
Reframe your resume around async delivery
Remote employers want to see that you have driven solution design and client outcomes without relying on in-person presence. Highlight work you completed over video calls, written documentation, and digital collaboration tools like Confluence, Slack, or JIRA.
Target remote-first companies in your sector
Companies built around distributed teams already have the workflows and management practices for remote solution managers. Look for organizations that list remote-first in their about pages or job postings, as they hire and onboard remote solution managers more effectively than hybrid-first firms.
Prepare for remote-specific interview formats
Remote solution manager interviews often include async components, such as written case responses or recorded solution presentations, before you reach live rounds. Practice presenting a solution narrative clearly on video, and have a clean, professional setup ready before your first screen.
Build a visible body of solution work
Compile anonymized case studies, architecture diagrams, or slide decks from past engagements and share them through a personal site or document portfolio. Remote hiring managers cannot observe you in an office, so tangible evidence of how you structure and deliver solutions carries significant weight.
Remote Solution Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote solution manager job?
Target companies with distributed sales engineering, customer success, or implementation teams, as these organizations are built to manage solution managers without an office. Remote employers screen heavily for written communication, the ability to run client discovery calls and solution presentations over video, and self-directed project management. Candidates who can show they have closed or delivered solutions without in-person contact consistently get further in remote hiring processes.
Which companies hire remote solution managers?
Employers currently hiring remote solution managers include Accenture, Baker Tilly Canada, and AXIOM, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Remote-first software companies, enterprise SaaS vendors, and professional services firms with distributed delivery teams make up the majority of remote solution manager openings.
Can you get a remote solution manager job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level solution manager roles are harder to land because you need to work independently from day one with minimal in-person coaching. Smaller SaaS companies and startups with distributed teams are more open to early-career candidates. Showing hands-on product knowledge, a history of client-facing communication, or a portfolio of solution design work can open the door when direct experience is limited.
Do you need a degree for remote solution manager jobs?
Not always. Remote employers weigh demonstrable solution design skills, familiarity with CRM and implementation tools, and a clear record of working through complex client problems over formal credentials. A degree in business, engineering, or a related field helps at larger enterprises, but many remote-first companies prioritize what you can show over what you studied.
Which industries hire the most remote solution managers?
Remote solution manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Accounting & Auditing, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors hire solution managers remotely because their products and client engagements are delivered digitally, making distributed delivery teams the standard operating model.
