Overview of Unit/Department
OP Therapy Teleservices provides high-quality speech teletherapy services to both rural school districts and healthcare patients. CoxHealth partners with contracted rural schools to deliver school-based speech therapy, while also offering direct teletherapy care to CoxHealth outpatients.
School-based positions are PRN, offering guaranteed hours throughout the school year and following the academic calendar, making them ideal for providers seeking a flexible yet stable schedule. Tips for Your Remote Speech Pathologist Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote speech pathologist openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your license, caseload preferences, and schedule and apply directly without sorting through non-remote listings.
Build a portfolio of async clinical documentation
Remote employers want proof you can document accurately without in-person oversight. Compile samples of progress notes, evaluation summaries, or teletherapy session plans that show your written communication is clear, complete, and consistent across a full caseload.
Get fluent in teletherapy platforms before applying
Remote speech pathologist roles often require day-one proficiency with platforms like Zoom for Healthcare, TheraPlatform, or similar tools. Hands-on familiarity, even from student placements, signals to remote hiring managers that you won't need ramp-up time on the basics.
Prepare for asynchronous remote interviews
Many distributed clinical teams use recorded video screening questions before a live interview. Practice answering questions about your caseload management approach and self-direction in speech-language pathology without the back-and-forth of an in-person setting.
Clarify your remote setup during onboarding
Confirm your internet reliability, private workspace for client sessions, and HIPAA-compliant equipment during onboarding, not after your first day. Remote speech pathologist employers expect you to have a compliant, distraction-free environment ready before your caseload starts.
Remote Speech Pathologist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote speech pathologist job?
Target companies that already run distributed clinical or education teams, because they've built the infrastructure for remote speech pathology work and won't need to be convinced it's possible. Remote employers screen for self-direction, clear written documentation habits, and comfort with teletherapy platforms. Candidates who can demonstrate async communication skills and independent caseload management consistently stand out in remote hiring.
Which companies hire remote speech pathologists?
Remote speech pathologist roles are posted by Ivy Rehab Network, Ivyrehab Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech-Language Pathology, Pllc, and CoxHealth and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Telehealth providers, remote-first special education contractors, and distributed healthcare staffing organizations make up the largest share of remote openings for speech pathologists.
Can you get a remote speech pathologist job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry roles are harder to land because you're expected to manage a caseload independently from day one without in-person supervision. Telehealth platforms and contract-based school services providers are the most likely to hire early-career speech pathologists remotely. Showing clinical placement hours, teletherapy coursework, or familiarity with remote documentation systems helps close the experience gap.
Do you need a degree for remote speech pathologist jobs?
Usually, yes. Most remote speech pathologist roles require at minimum a master's degree in speech-language pathology and state licensure, because the role involves clinical assessment and treatment that carries regulatory requirements. Remote employers do weigh practical teletherapy experience and documentation quality heavily alongside credentials, so demonstrated clinical results matter as much as the degree itself.
Which industries hire the most remote speech pathologists?
Most remote speech pathologist openings sit in Healthcare & Medical Services and Consulting & Professional Services, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors hire remotely because their distributed teams need speech pathology services delivered consistently across locations without requiring clinicians to be on-site.
