Who's Hiring

Restaurant Manager Jobs in Charleston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a restaurant manager job in Charleston?
Target Charleston's highest-volume hiring sectors: full-service independent restaurants on King Street and East Bay Street, hotel food and beverage operations in the Market and Waterfront districts, and fast-casual groups expanding into the Upper Peninsula and North Charleston. Candidates with proven front-of-house leadership, high-volume weekend experience, and familiarity with Charleston's hospitality-forward service culture move to the top of shortlists fastest. Local network connections through Charleston's restaurant community also help significantly.
Which companies hire restaurant managers in Charleston?
Employers hiring restaurant managers in Charleston right now include BHC, Bojangles', and Cook Out Restaurants, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Charleston's hiring pool is a mix of independent fine-dining groups, multi-unit casual chains, and hotel and resort food and beverage operations tied to the city's strong tourism and convention economy.
Are there remote restaurant manager jobs in Charleston?
Remote work is rare for restaurant managers, since the role is fundamentally hands-on and floor-based. About 0% of restaurant manager openings tied to Charleston are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to cover back-office functions like scheduling, vendor coordination, or multi-unit reporting for regional operators with a Charleston presence.
How can I get a restaurant manager job in Charleston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Charleston is moving up from a shift lead or assistant manager role within the city's independent restaurant scene on King Street or in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough area, where smaller operators promote from within regularly. Charleston's culinary school pipeline through Trident Technical College also gives candidates a local credential that resonates with hiring managers. Demonstrating hands-on floor experience during peak tourist season weekends is the strongest differentiator for entry-level candidates here.
