Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and care for various flooring types to maintain pristine conditions
- Use janitorial tools such as buffers, scrubbers, and steam cleaners to ensure high-quality floor care
- Restock supplies including towels, toiletries, and linens to ensure guest comfort and operational efficiency
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns
- Maintain cleanliness standards by adhering to sanitation protocols and ensuring all areas meet health regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and techniques enhances performance in this role
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical handling and manual handling is essential
- Strong customer service skills to address guest needs courteously and professionally
