Who's Hiring

Restaurant Operations Management Jobs in Detroit: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a restaurant operations management job in Detroit?
Target Detroit's hospitality clusters directly: Greektown, Midtown, and the downtown riverfront are where multi-unit casual dining, upscale concepts, and casino food-and-beverage operations concentrate most of their management hiring. Candidates who can show experience running high-volume service, controlling food and labor costs, and developing hourly staff stand out in this market. Familiarity with Detroit's casino resort operators and sports-venue hospitality groups gives applicants a clear edge over generalist candidates.
Which companies hire restaurant operations managements in Detroit?
Companies currently hiring restaurant operations managements in Detroit include Applebee's, KBP Brands, and Burger King, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Detroit's hiring mix leans toward casino resort operators, sports and entertainment venue concessionaires, and independent multi-unit restaurant groups rooted in neighborhoods like Corktown and Midtown.
Are there remote restaurant operations management jobs in Detroit?
Yes, but only partially: restaurant operations management is inherently hands-on, so fully remote roles are rare. About 11% of restaurant operations management openings tied to Detroit are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to be corporate support functions like training, compliance, or multi-unit oversight rather than floor-level management. Pure remote options in Detroit are most common at regional or national chains with a Detroit corporate presence.
How can I get a restaurant operations management job in Detroit with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Detroit is moving up from a team-lead or shift-supervisor role inside a high-volume concept, particularly in Greektown's casino dining outlets, Detroit Metro Airport concessionaires, or the stadium-district food service operations that run large hourly teams. These employers hire entry-level managers from within, so starting as a lead cook, floor supervisor, or assistant manager gives you the operational exposure that Detroit hiring managers look for before promoting to a full operations role.
