POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Quality and Food Safety End-to-End Compliance to Design Senior Manager, you’ll play a critical leadership role in ensuring the integrity, compliance, and performance of starting materials and supplier quality programs across the WK Kellogg supply chain. This role sits at the intersection of Quality, Food Safety, Procurement, Supply Chain, RD, and Manufacturing, driving end-to-end compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives that support product quality, food safety, and business continuity. As a leader within the Corporate Food Safety organization, you’ll help shape strategy, develop talent, and influence programs that have an enterprise-wide impact.
HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Lead and develop a team responsible for supplier quality and compliance programs related to ingredients, packaging, and other starting materials.
- Oversee supplier verification processes and ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and food safety expectations.
- Approve, maintain, and govern documentation supporting ingredient categories, supplier qualifications, and material specifications.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, RD, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure suppliers and materials meet quality and food safety requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives across supplier and manufacturing networks.
- Provide leadership and guidance to food safety and quality auditing resources to support effective supplier and site assessments.
- Own key systems and processes within the material supply network to optimize quality, compliance, and operational performance.
- Support investigations, audits, complaints, and corrective action activities related to suppliers and materials.
- Utilize WK Kellogg Integrated Work Systems (KIWS) methodologies and tools to improve process effectiveness and efficiency.
- Train, coach, and develop team members and key stakeholders to strengthen organizational capability and program execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience leading teams and providing coaching, performance feedback, and talent development.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems, supplier compliance, and risk management principles.
- Experience working within food manufacturing, food safety, quality, supply chain, or related industries.
- Knowledge of FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requirements and supplier management practices.
- Ability to utilize problem-solving methodologies and continuous improvement tools to drive results.
- Experience working within SAP or similar enterprise systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support business decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively across functions and organizational levels.
- Ability to become Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certified.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.
- 7+ years of experience in food manufacturing or food development.
- 5+ years of experience working in team-based operations.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience leading projects from concept through implementation and realization.
- Experience collaborating with suppliers, manufacturing sites, RD, and procurement organizations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Hybrid corporate and manufacturing environment with regular collaboration across Quality, Food Safety, Supply Chain, Procurement, RD, and Manufacturing teams.
- Frequent interaction with suppliers, manufacturing facilities, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Requires the ability to influence and lead across multiple functions, locations, and levels of the organization.
- Fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, compliance requirements, and strategic initiatives.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Primarily Monday through Friday with flexibility required to support business needs, supplier activities, audits, and operational priorities.
- Travel of approximately 25% to 50% is required, including visits to manufacturing plants and supplier locations.
Salary Range: $141,520 - $176,900
