Entry Level RN Staff Nurse Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level rn staff nurse job?
Focus on completing your NCLEX-RN and highlighting any clinical rotations, preceptorships, or practicum hours on your resume. New grad residency programs are specifically designed for candidates at this stage and are one of the strongest entry points. Tailor your application to show comfort with patient care fundamentals, documentation systems like Epic, and the specific unit type you are targeting.
Which companies hire entry level rn staff nurses?
Companies hiring entry level rn staff nurses right now include Legacy Health, UPMC, and Bassett Healthcare Network, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Health systems, community hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics all post openings at this level, particularly for candidates who have completed a structured clinical training program.
Are there remote entry level rn staff nurse jobs?
Yes, though most bedside nursing roles require in-person work. About 0% of entry level rn staff nurse openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve care coordination, case management, or telephone triage rather than direct floor nursing. Gaining hands-on clinical experience first strengthens your candidacy for remote roles later.
Are these new grad rn staff nurse jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior rn staff nurse roles. A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes candidates with zero to two years of experience, accepts completed clinical internships or preceptorships in place of paid work history, and often mentions a new grad residency or structured orientation program. Look for those signals in the job description before applying.
Which industries hire the most entry level rn staff nurses?
Entry Level rn staff nurse roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Science & Research, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive hiring at this level because they maintain large nursing staffs, run continuous intake programs for recent graduates, and face ongoing demand tied to patient volume and regulatory staffing requirements.
