Safety Manager Jobs in Seattle: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a safety manager job in Seattle?
Focus on Seattle's construction, maritime port operations, and light manufacturing sectors, which drive the most consistent local demand. Employers in SoDo, the Duwamish Valley, and the greater Port of Seattle area hire regularly. Candidates with OSHA 30-hour construction or general industry credentials, incident investigation experience, and familiarity with Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act compliance stand out in this market.
Which companies hire safety managers in Seattle?
Companies currently hiring safety managers in Seattle include Amazon, Google, and Rippling, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Seattle's hiring mix reflects its industrial waterfront, active commercial construction pipeline, and growing logistics and fulfillment presence south of downtown.
Are there remote safety manager jobs in Seattle?
Yes, but with limits: safety manager roles that require physical site presence, such as construction, maritime, or manufacturing, are rarely remote by nature. About 17% of safety manager openings tied to Seattle are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, skewing toward program management, compliance analysis, and corporate EHS roles. Those desk-side functions are the most viable candidates for hybrid schedules among Seattle employers.
How can I get a safety manager job in Seattle with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Seattle is through a safety coordinator or EHS technician role with a general contractor or logistics employer in the SoDo or Duwamish district. Seattle's active construction market hires entry-level coordinators who support site safety plans and conduct toolbox talks. Earning an OSHA 30-hour card before applying, and targeting mid-size general contractors or third-party logistics operators, meaningfully improves your chances locally.
Which industries hire the most safety managers in Seattle?
Most safety manager openings in Seattle sit in Technology & Software, Retail, and E-Commerce & Online Marketplaces, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Seattle's working waterfront, dense commercial construction activity, and expanding warehouse and fulfillment infrastructure along the Duwamish corridor collectively sustain strong and recurring demand for safety professionals.
