Keeley Construction is looking to hire a Site Safety Technician with our Heavy Industries Group for a 12-month project in Wynnewood, OK, with the potential for longer if scope increases.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform both scheduled and unscheduled inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs, including orientations and ongoing sessions, focusing on the proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist in creating and enforcing safety policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Lead investigations into accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to address safety concerns and ensure all parties are aligned with safety expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and other relevant documentation.
- Participate in safety meetings and committees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in construction safety.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of safety experience in an industrial/mechanical construction setting or equivalent education required.
- A strong understanding of construction safety regulations, hazard identification, and incident investigation required.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and digital safety reporting tools.
- OSHA 30-hour preferred.
- Must be able to work on the project job site in Oklahoma.
