Sales And Marketing Specialist Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales and marketing specialist in Delaware?
Most Delaware employers require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or communications as the baseline credential. There is no state-issued license specific to the sales and marketing specialist role in Delaware, so hiring hinges on education, portfolio work, and demonstrated CRM or campaign experience. Candidates targeting the Wilmington financial and pharma corridor benefit from coursework or certifications in digital marketing analytics or product marketing to stand out in a competitive applicant pool.
How much do sales and marketing specialists make in Delaware?
Sales and marketing specialists in Delaware earn a median of about $101,270 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $51,480 for the lowest 10% to over $165,840 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales and marketing specialists in Delaware?
Employers hiring sales and marketing specialists in Delaware right now include JPMorganChase, Citi, and DuPont, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Delaware's concentration of corporate headquarters and financial institutions means many of these openings are tied to enterprise-level marketing teams rather than small regional firms.
Which Delaware cities have the most sales and marketing specialist jobs?
Wilmington, Newark, and Dover consistently post the most sales and marketing specialist openings in Delaware. Wilmington dominates because it is home to major financial services and insurance headquarters, while Newark and Dover generate openings through university-affiliated organizations, state government contractors, and regional healthcare and pharmaceutical operations that require dedicated marketing support.
Are there remote sales and marketing specialist jobs in Delaware?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 52% of sales and marketing specialist openings tied to Delaware are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of the role centers on digital campaigns, CRM management, and virtual client communication. Content strategy, paid digital, and inside sales functions tend to be the most remote-eligible segments of the role.
How can I get hired as a sales and marketing specialist in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a marketing coordinator or sales development representative role at one of Delaware's large corporate employers, where structured rotational programs exist for recent graduates. Institutions like the University of Delaware and Wilmington University feed candidates into local employer pipelines, and companies in the Wilmington financial corridor regularly onboard associates through entry-level marketing teams. Building a portfolio of campaign work or earning a Google Ads or HubSpot certification sharpens a candidate's profile for these openings.
