Sales Development Manager Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales development manager job in Atlanta?
The strongest path into a sales development manager role in Atlanta is through the city's dense enterprise software and fintech sectors, where companies in Midtown and Buckhead promote SDRs with two or more years of quota-carrying experience. Candidates who combine CRM proficiency with familiarity with Atlanta's B2B technology buyer base stand out. Networking through local sales communities and attending events in the Central Perimeter corridor also opens doors.
Which companies hire sales development managers in Atlanta?
Atlanta sales development manager roles are posted by The Home Depot, AutoZone, and Intuit and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's hiring mix reflects its position as a major B2B technology and financial services hub, with both fast-growing startups in the Midtown tech corridor and large enterprise employers in Buckhead recruiting consistently.
Are there remote sales development manager jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though with limits: sales development manager work is relationship-driven and many Atlanta employers prefer on-site or hybrid arrangements for pipeline-building and team coaching responsibilities. About 42% of sales development manager openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with remote options most common for strategy-focused or account-based marketing roles rather than frontline outbound positions.
How can I get a sales development manager job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is starting as a sales development representative at one of the city's many high-growth SaaS or fintech companies in Midtown, then moving into a team lead or player-coach role within 18 to 24 months. Atlanta employers like mid-market technology firms and B2B services companies routinely promote from within, so demonstrating consistent quota attainment and early mentorship of junior reps gives candidates a clear internal track to management.
Which industries hire the most sales development managers in Atlanta?
Most sales development manager openings in Atlanta sit in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Manufacturing, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's status as a major fintech capital and one of the Southeast's leading enterprise software markets means B2B technology and financial services companies drive the bulk of local hiring, with healthcare IT also contributing a significant share of openings.
