Who's Hiring

Sales Director Jobs in Columbus: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales director job in Columbus?
The strongest path into a sales director role in Columbus is building a record of closed revenue in sectors that dominate the local market: health tech, insurance, B2B software, and financial services. Employers in the Easton corridor, the Short North, and Downtown Columbus tend to favor candidates who already know Ohio enterprise buyers. Demonstrating territory management experience in the Midwest and familiarity with Columbus-area accounts gives you a concrete edge over out-of-market candidates.
Which companies hire sales directors in Columbus?
Companies currently hiring sales directors in Columbus include Henkel, Kensington, and INEOS, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Columbus draws a broad mix of regional insurers, health system vendors, and B2B technology firms that consistently recruit senior sales leadership.
Are there remote sales director jobs in Columbus?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the industry: sales directors overseeing field teams or managing in-person client relationships are mostly on-site, while those leading inside sales or SaaS account teams have more flexibility. About 81% of sales director openings tied to Columbus are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with most of those concentrated in software and insurance. Hybrid schedules with a Columbus headquarters anchor are the most common arrangement locally.
How can I get a sales director job in Columbus with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Columbus is moving up from a senior account executive or sales manager role within one of the city's large insurance carriers, health systems, or B2B tech companies, which regularly promote from within. Regional employers in the Easton and Polaris corridors often hire high-performing individual contributors into director-track roles ahead of formal title changes. Building relationships through Columbus Young Professionals or the Columbus Chamber and showing measurable quota attainment in a Columbus-market territory accelerates that transition meaningfully.
