Who's Hiring

Sales Intern Jobs in Indianapolis: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales intern job in Indianapolis?
Target the sectors driving the most Indianapolis hiring: enterprise software, health tech, financial services, and logistics. Companies in the Mile Square and North Meridian corridor post internships frequently, and mid-size B2B firms there often prefer candidates who can start quickly. A demonstrated interest in consultative selling, even from a class project or volunteer role, gives you a clear edge over candidates with no sales context at all.
Which companies hire sales interns in Indianapolis?
Companies currently hiring sales interns in Indianapolis include Elanco, Ecolab, and D.R. Horton, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Indianapolis attracts a mix of regional insurance carriers, health-focused technology firms, and manufacturing companies with national sales teams, all of which run structured internship programs tied to their inside or outside sales pipelines.
Are there remote sales intern jobs in Indianapolis?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the role type: inside sales and sales operations roles are more likely to be remote or hybrid, while field and account-management internships are almost always on-site. About 73% of sales intern openings tied to Indianapolis are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, with the remote share concentrated in SaaS and fintech firms headquartered downtown or in the Fishers tech corridor.
How can I get a sales intern job in Indianapolis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to structured inside-sales internships at Indianapolis-based insurance carriers and health tech companies, which routinely hire undergraduates with no prior sales history. Butler University and IUPUI career fairs surface these roles each semester. Customer-facing retail or service work is treated as relevant experience by most Indianapolis hiring managers, and a willingness to work in-office during the summer hiring cycle significantly improves your odds.
