The IAM Operations Manager leads daily team responsibilities to ensure consistent authorization and fulfillment of user access requests to core bank systems and data. This role manages IAM Operations and Services staff members, ongoing processes, IAM standards, and works with Security leadership as well as business stakeholders to maintain compliance and in direct support of the bank’s strategic goals. Key duties include managing the IAM team's daily operations to promote efficient and secure access management, resolving access management issues, and upholding all documented IAM standards. The IAM Operations Manager is also responsible for ensuring that IAM controls effectively protect sensitive information while complying with defined policies and regulations. In addition, the role involves continuous improvement of IAM processes by evaluating and updating the team’s use of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance IAM controls and in response to the bank’s business needs. IAM Operations Manager is responsible for managing expectations regarding team performance, fostering team collaboration, setting team objectives, and supporting individual professional growth. Finally, partnering with stakeholders across IT and non-IT departments in the ongoing support of defined IAM strategies.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Ensure the daily delivery of IAM requested access with a focus on improving consistency in control execution and enhancing our customer service experience.
- Partnering with IAM stakeholders to establish strong governance and maintain a high quality of service.
- Supporting key business initiatives in the ongoing demand of IAM services.
- Providing continuous performance reporting, efficient management of audit requests, while maintaining a strong focus on our current IAM strategic priorities.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Manage the IAM operations team of direct reports, including scheduling organized training, performance management, and resource allocation.
- Maintain staffing requirements to manage work intake and team performance against defined SLOs/SLAs.
- Monitor, maintain, and improve IAM controls to ensure secure and efficient access management across scope of systems.
- Provide direct input on IAM product enhancements and necessary system changes that enhance IAM controls.
- Implement as well as enforce policies and procedures for ongoing user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews.
- Coordinate with IT, security, and business areas to support audits, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Analyze access trends, produce operational reports, and recommend improvements to existing IAM processes.
- Respond to incidents and support troubleshooting activities related to identity and access management concerns.
- Oversee the execution of operational Role-based Access Controls (RBAC) in the daily delivery of Business/System/Exception roles.
- Provide control oversight of Segregation of Duties (SoD) IAM responsibilities that include business intake and review workflows.
- Evaluate and provide recommendations in the development and support of IAM Self Service tooling.
- Lead and ensure delivery of quarterly access attestation and certification processes through completion.
- Ensure the delivery of ongoing application consistency checks and access control validation.
- Responsible for the regular collection and availability of IAM evidence within a centralized location.
- Provide Quality Assurance in the daily delivery of IAM Operations responsibilities.
- Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory requirements affecting IAM.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 7+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management or Information Security.
- 5+ years of leadership or management experience in a demanding security operational environment.
- Experience working with cloud IAM infrastructure solutions (e.g., Azure Entra ID, AWS IAM, GCP).
- Strong experience supporting audit and compliance activities (e.g., SOX, SOC1, ITGC).
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred Certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or IAM-specific certifications).
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
- Advanced level of experience with ServiceNow, Workday, Azure DevOps.
- Experience with GRC systems for documenting IAM controls, responding to audit requirements, and managing improvement areas.
- Operational leadership and service delivery management.
- IAM lifecycle and access governance expertise.
- Working knowledge of Audit and Compliance IAM controls.
- Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) controls.
- Continuous process improvement and optimization experience.
- Stakeholder management and communication.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Team leadership and performance management.
- Expertise in developing and implementing product enhancements to further mature an existing IAM program.
- Awareness in IAM system integration that includes Workday, ServiceNow, PAM, Active Roles, AD, and Entra.
- Industry experience in managing IAM governance in support of enhanced JML and role mining techniques.
- Direct experience in IGA support of automated, manual, and hybrid app provisioning requirements.

SALARY RANGE
$125,825.00 - $221,275.00
