Job Overview:
The Stroke Coordinator's role is to oversee the gold standard of quality care for patients at Deaconess Hospital and Deaconess Gateway Hospital who present with signs and symptoms of acute stroke per recommendations of the Brain Attack Coalition (BAC) and the National Clearing House Guidelines for ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke care. Through these efforts, our program will continue to demonstrate best practice outcomes resulting in decreased stroke mortality and morbidity in the Tri-State region.
Required: Certifications/Licenses/Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) in Indiana
- BSN
- Minimum of two years' relevant clinical experience – i.e. critical care with Neuro specialty, Case Management, Clinical Education and Quality Improvement.
- Instructor in at least one certification:
- National certification i.e. CCRN
- National certification i.e. CNRN
- National certification i.e. SCRN
Preferred Certification/License/Experience:
- MSN
Campus: Deaconess Illinois Region
Shift: Days
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week.
