We are seeking a full-time IT Support & Security Specialist with 1+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure/Entra, 365, Zoom, and security tools. Reporting to the CTO, the ideal candidate will provide technical support to end-users, monitor and maintain IT systems, help to ensure the security and reliability of our IT environment, and maintain clear documentation.
This is a full-time position based at our Westport, CT office located at 315 Post Road West. Must be onsite Monday through Thursday with remote flexibility on Fridays. Hours are 8:15am to 4:45pm.
What you will be doing:
- Provide technical support to our ~50-person team via video, chat, or in-person, and own the IT ticket queue from intake through resolution.
- Configure new hardware and software and assist in implementing new systems.
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, license assignment, and periodic access reviews.
- Administer and maintain critical systems including Microsoft Entra, Intune, Exchange, Defender, and Zoom.
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly system monitoring and health checks, including patch and vulnerability management, ensuring the availability and integrity of IT resources.
- Monitor proactively for security issues and respond to alerts to safeguard company data and infrastructure.
- Maintain technical documentation in Confluence, including system configurations, knowledgebase articles, and IT policies.
- Maintain our asset inventory.
- Assist with the company's security awareness training program, including phishing simulations and completion tracking.
- Train end-users in IT best practices, security awareness, and effective system usage.
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience plus certifications.
- 1+ years of experience in IT support or administration with a focus on Azure/Entra, Defender, Intune, Microsoft 365, Zoom, and security tools.
- Experience working in a Microsoft cloud environment is required.
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools (endpoint protection, email security, IAM).
- Basic scripting ability (PowerShell, Microsoft Graph) for automating routine admin tasks is preferred.
- Experience documenting processes and building knowledgebases.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small IT team.
- Able to travel twice yearly for company-wide meetings (location varies).
