INTRODUCTION
Chowbus is a leading AI-powered restaurant technology SaaS platform with deep roots in the North American market. We support thousands of restaurants of every size across the U.S. and Canada, with technology solutions spanning POS, AI, and digital tools that help restaurants run more efficiently and grow their business. We compete with companies like Toast, Square, Clover, and Menusifu. Our Marketing team plays a direct role in that growth. We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to own Chowbus's digital presence end to end: organic search, our website, marketing analytics, and paid search. You'll turn data into decisions and help restaurant owners find Chowbus and book a demo. You'll work closely with fellow Marketing team members, Sales colleagues, and Product specialists to keep our digital funnel consistent from first click to conversion. This is a hybrid role based in our Chicago office.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What You'll Focus On
SEO & Organic Growth:
- Own Chowbus's SEO roadmap, including keyword strategy, technical SEO audits, site structure, and page speed/Core Web Vitals improvements.
- Run competitive SEO analysis against Toast, Square, Clover, and Menusifu to find content and ranking opportunities.
- Partner with the content team to brief, optimize, and publish SEO-driven blog posts, landing pages, and city- or cuisine-specific pages.
- Monitor rankings, organic traffic, and backlink profile using tools like Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs, and report on progress monthly.
Website & CMS Management:
- Own day-to-day management of Chowbus's website CMS, including page builds, edits, navigation, and content governance.
- Launch and maintain landing pages for campaigns, product launches, and events, working with design and demand generation partners.
- Run A/B tests on key pages (homepage, demo request forms, pricing) to improve conversion rates.
- Maintain site performance, uptime, and technical hygiene, partnering with engineering as needed.
Marketing Analytics & Reporting:
- Build and maintain dashboards in GA4, Tableau, or similar tools to track website traffic, campaign performance, and lead-to-demo conversion.
- Define and track the digital marketing funnel from first touch to booked demo, in partnership with Sales and RevOps.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly performance reports with clear takeaways and recommendations for marketing leadership.
- Work with RevOps and Sales to keep lead data clean and consistent across the website, CRM, and marketing automation platform.
Paid Search (Google Ads / PPC):
- Plan, launch, and manage Google Ads campaigns (Search, Display, Performance Max) to drive qualified demo requests.
- Own the paid search budget, bidding strategy, and keyword lists. Optimize continuously for cost per lead and ROAS.
- Write and test ad copy, landing pages, and offers to improve click-through and conversion rates.
- Partner with the Marketing Campaigns Manager so paid search complements paid social and ABM efforts.

- Proven experience improving organic search rankings and traffic using tools like Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.

Senior Level Senior Digital Marketing Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level senior digital marketing manager job?
Employers hiring at the senior level look for candidates who can demonstrate ownership of full-funnel digital strategy, not just execution. Show a portfolio of campaigns where you set direction, managed budget, and led a team through results. Proficiency with marketing analytics platforms, paid media, SEO, and marketing automation is expected, and evidence of mentoring junior marketers strengthens any application significantly.
Which companies hire senior level senior digital marketing managers?
Companies hiring senior level senior digital marketing managers right now include Citi, Hard Rock International, and Alo, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Hiring at this level covers large enterprises with dedicated digital teams, mid-size growth-stage companies building out their marketing leadership, and agency groups looking for senior strategists to lead client accounts.
Are there remote senior level senior digital marketing manager jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid arrangements are well established at this level. About 47% of senior level senior digital marketing manager openings are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how common distributed marketing leadership has become across U.S. employers. Fully on-site roles still exist, particularly at companies prioritizing close collaboration between marketing and product or sales teams.
What makes a senior digital marketing manager role senior level?
Senior level roles are defined by ownership and scope rather than task execution. A senior digital marketing manager sets channel and campaign strategy, owns performance targets across paid, organic, and owned media, and is accountable for budget allocation. These roles typically include responsibility for mentoring or managing junior marketers and collaborating directly with leadership on business objectives, distinguishing them clearly from mid-level manager positions.
Which industries hire the most senior level senior digital marketing managers?
Senior level senior digital marketing manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Retail, and Manufacturing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they depend on sophisticated digital acquisition, retention, and brand-building strategies that require experienced professionals capable of leading complex, multi-channel programs independently.
