Senior Payment Operations Specialist Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a senior payment operations specialist in Florida?
Most senior payment operations specialists in Florida reach this level by combining a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business with several years of hands-on experience in payment processing, treasury operations, or banking. Florida requires no state-issued license specific to this role, but credentials such as the Accredited ACH Professional certification strengthen candidacy. Large Florida-based payment processors and banks typically expect candidates to have progressed through analyst or operations coordinator roles before hiring at the senior level.
Which companies hire senior payment operations specialists in Florida?
Employers hiring senior payment operations specialists in Florida right now include Maximus, Amerant Bank, and JPMorganChase, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Florida's concentration of fintech headquarters, large regional banks, and global payment processors makes it one of the more active states for this role year-round.
Which Florida cities have the most senior payment operations specialist jobs?
Tampa, Miramar, and Lake Mary account for the most senior payment operations specialist openings in Florida. Miami drives volume through its density of international banks, cross-border payment firms, and Latin American financial operations, while Tampa and Jacksonville anchor demand through large back-office processing centers and the regional headquarters of major financial technology companies.
Are there remote senior payment operations specialist jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most finance roles, given that much of the work involves digital platforms and system oversight rather than physical cash handling. About 50% of senior payment operations specialist openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader flexibility in the fintech and banking sector. Functions such as exception research, reconciliation review, and vendor coordination are the most commonly offered in fully remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a senior payment operations specialist in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing a payment operations analyst or operations coordinator role at a Florida-based payment processor or bank, then building toward the senior title from within. Large Florida employers such as FIS Global and regional community banks often post associate-level operations roles that serve as direct pipelines. Obtaining the Accredited ACH Professional credential early signals commitment and technical grounding. Adjacent roles in accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, or treasury support are common lateral starting points.
Where can I find and apply to senior payment operations specialist jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to senior payment operations specialist jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated regularly. Search for roles that match your experience level, preferred city, and work arrangement, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
