We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Director / Admission Assistant to join our team at St. Petersburg Nursing & Rehabilitation. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for performing administrative duties such as processing payroll, scheduling interviews, coordinating orientations, and acting as a liaison between employees and HR department.

Responsibilities:

• Perform various HR administrative tasks, including payroll processing, scheduling interviews, and coordinating orientations

• Act as a liaison between employees and HR department, ensuring timely and effective communication

• Support new hire onboarding and orientation processes

• Maintain employee data and changes, manage employee bonuses and reward programs, and ensure Equal Employment Opportunity compliance

• Conduct education and training on HR systems, processes, and policies as needed

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

• Assist the Admissions Director with collecting records needed for clinical and financial review.

• Coordinate admission dates, room assignments, transportation details, and arrival information with the appropriate departments.

• Prepare admission packets and help residents or their representatives complete required forms. Refer questions about clinical care, coverage, or payment to the appropriate staff member.

• Welcome new residents and families, explain the arrival process, and connect them with the staff who can address their needs.

• Notify nursing, therapy, dietary, social services, environmental services, and the business office of planned admissions and relevant updates.

• Help verify that rooms are ready before a resident arrives and promptly report any concerns.

• Maintain accurate admission logs, contact information, and documentation in facility systems.

• Follow up after admission to identify questions or concerns and direct them to the appropriate department.

• Protect resident information and follow facility privacy, infection prevention, and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field

• Strong attention to detail and work ethic

• Healthcare background is preferred
