DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Principal Product Manager - Tech to own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a new product that provides customers with access to Amazon Ads data and solutions within a privacy-safe AWS Clean Rooms environment, with customer-controlled compute and infrastructure, powering agentic AI workflows. This is a greenfield opportunity to define a new product category at the intersection of advertising data, privacy-enhancing technologies, and agentic AI.
As the Principal PMT, you will set the long-term product strategy, drive technology choices, and lead cross-functional teams (engineering, science, design, legal, privacy, and business development) to deliver a product that enables Amazon's most sophisticated advertising customers to bring their own compute, run their own models, and orchestrate AI agents — all within a privacy-safe, customer-controlled environment built on AWS Clean Rooms.
A successful candidate will combine deep technical fluency in cloud infrastructure, data collaboration, and AI/ML with the strategic product thinking required to define a new market category. You will influence across Amazon Ads, AWS, and external customer organizations, and you will be comfortable operating in high ambiguity where the business opportunity and product strategy are not yet fully defined.
Key job responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy
- Own and articulate the end-to-end product vision, defining how customers access Amazon Ads data and solutions within their own AWS Clean Rooms environment to power measurement, optimization, and agentic AI workflows at scale.
- Define the long-term strategy that positions the product as the preferred data collaboration surface for Amazon Ads' most strategic customers, balancing customer autonomy with Amazon's privacy and data governance requirements.
Privacy & Data Architecture
- Define the product requirements for privacy-safe data access, including data governance policies, access controls, differential privacy mechanisms, and compliance frameworks that protect Amazon's first-party data while maximizing customer utility.
- Partner with AWS Clean Rooms, Amazon Ads Privacy, and Legal teams to design the trust model that governs how customers interact with Amazon Ads data in their own infrastructure.
Agentic AI & Customer Compute
- Define the product strategy for enabling agentic AI workflows within the environment — including how customers deploy, orchestrate, and monitor AI agents that operate on Amazon Ads data within their own compute.
- Identify and prioritize the composable building blocks (data assets, APIs, model endpoints, agent tools) that customers and their AI agents need to autonomously measure, optimize, and act on media investments.
Cross-Organizational Leadership
- Drive alignment across Amazon Ads Product, AWS Clean Rooms, MADS Engineering, Measurement Science, Developer Experience, and external customer organizations.
- Represent the product in executive-level discussions (VP/SVP), OP1/OP2 planning, and investment proposals. Communicate vision, strategy, and progress through crisp written documents (PR/FAQs, narratives, strategy reviews).
- Ensure the product integrates seamlessly with the broader Advanced Analytics product portfolio.
Customer Engagement & Go-to-Market
- Engage directly with holding companies, technology integrators, and large advertisers to deeply understand their data collaboration needs and co-develop solutions.
- Define the go-to-market strategy including pricing/cost-transfer models, onboarding experiences, and adoption mechanisms that scale from a single analyst to a holding company managing thousands of advertisers.
Technical Depth
- Lead engineering discussions around technology decisions, including AWS Clean Rooms architecture, compute isolation models, data egress controls, and integration patterns with Amazon Ads' data lake and API surfaces.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (LLMs, MCP/agent protocols, federated learning, confidential computing) for applicability to the product roadmap.
Business Impact & Metrics
- Define and own success metrics, including customer adoption, data utilization, agent workflow activation, revenue contribution, and privacy compliance.
- Drive rapid experimentation and iteration to validate product-market fit with early design partners.
Thought Leadership & Mentorship
- Act as a thought leader across MADS and Amazon Ads on privacy-safe data collaboration and agentic AI for advertising.
- Mentor and develop PMs on the team; raise the bar on product thinking and embody Amazon's Leadership Principles.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience technical product management
- 8+ years of end to end product delivery experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Senior Product Development Manager Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a senior product development manager in Washington?
The concrete path in Washington starts with a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field, though many hiring managers prefer a master's or MBA for senior roles. Washington does not require a state-issued license for product development managers, so the path is built on experience: moving through associate product manager or product manager roles at Washington's major technology, aerospace, or life sciences employers before stepping into a senior leadership position.
Which companies hire senior product development managers in Washington?
Employers hiring senior product development managers in Washington right now include Amazon, Amazon Web Services, and Vaupell, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Washington's concentration of global technology headquarters, aerospace primes, and growing life sciences companies makes it one of the deepest markets in the country for this role.
Which Washington cities have the most senior product development manager jobs?
Seattle, Bellevue, and Everett have the most senior product development manager openings in Washington. Seattle and Bellevue drive the bulk of demand through their density of technology and cloud computing headquarters, while Redmond reflects Microsoft's large campus and the cluster of product-focused vendors that have grown around it.
How can I get hired as a senior product development manager in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an associate product manager or product coordinator role at one of Washington's large technology or aerospace employers. Companies like Microsoft and Amazon run structured associate product manager programs that accept candidates from adjacent backgrounds including engineering, UX research, and business analysis. Building a product portfolio through side projects, open-source contributions, or a certificate in product management from a Washington university extension program strengthens an application significantly before making the move into a full PM role.
Where can I find and apply to senior product development manager jobs in Washington?
