Drive supplier performance improvement, including corrective actions, audits, process capability reviews, and polymerization process/formulation assessments (raw material handling, polymerization, compounding, mixing, extrusion, packaging, and contamination control processes).
Support resin qualifications, change management (MOC), and risk assessments for formulation changes, raw material changes, and supplier process changes.
Analyze resin quality issues (impurities, particles, metals/ions, organics, stability, and performance) and lead robust root cause investigations (8D, 5-Why, fishbone, etc.).
Technical & Resin Engineering Responsibilities:
Understand supplier resin manufacturing processes (raw material handling, polymerization, compounding, mixing, extrusion, packaging, and contamination control processes) and how variability impacts downstream customer performance.
Develop and maintain resin specifications, critical-to-quality requirements, certificates of analysis (COA) expectations, analytical test methods, and quality documentation.
Collaborate with resin suppliers on process improvements, capability studies, control plans, sampling strategies, and advanced quality planning activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce batch-to-batch variation, improve yield, enhance reliability, and strengthen resin product performance.
Understand continuous improvement methodologies, structured problem‑solving techniques, SPC, and FMEA and apply them independently in role.
Ability to analyze, synthesize, and summarize complex data sets to drive clear decision making and action.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Partner with Business Units, Procurement, R&D, and Operations to ensure continuity of supply for critical raw materials and formulated products.
Monitor key supplier metrics and provide visibility and escalation to cross-functional teams when needed.
Participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and risk mitigation strategies for critical resin suppliers and high-impact chemistries.
Train suppliers on key requirements and expectations, including Change Control and quality system standards.
Qualifications / Traits:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science/Engineering, Polymer Science, or related discipline.
Advanced degree optional; Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt strongly preferred.
Experience with supplier quality engineering for plastic/polymer raw materials and formulated products (PE, PP, fluoropolymers, and other high-performance resin systems) strongly preferred.
5–7 years’ experience in plastic/polymer manufacturing, semiconductor chemicals, specialty engineering plastic, chemical manufacturing, or other high-tech manufacturing industries.
Working knowledge of resin quality systems and controls, including impurity/contamination control, analytical method capability, SPC systems, PFMEA, and control plan development.
Proficiency with statistical analysis software (Minitab, JMP, SAS, Camline).
Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, lead projects, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Ability to travel up to 20% domestically or internationally. Travel to local manufacturing plant required.

Senior Quality Manager Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a senior quality manager in Colorado?
Most Colorado employers require a bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a technical discipline, followed by several years of progressive quality experience. While Colorado does not issue a state license specific to quality managers, the American Society for Quality credential, such as the Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer designation, is the industry-recognized benchmark that Colorado aerospace, defense, and medical device employers treat as near-mandatory for senior roles.
How much do senior quality managers make in Colorado?
Senior quality managers in Colorado earn a median of about $141,020 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $86,460 for the lowest 10% to over $230,410 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire senior quality managers in Colorado?
Companies currently hiring senior quality managers in Colorado include Advanced Energy Industries, Beehive-Industries, and MKS, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Colorado's concentration of aerospace primes, medical device manufacturers, and defense contractors means senior quality roles turn over regularly as programs scale and compliance requirements evolve.
Which Colorado cities have the most senior quality manager jobs?
Denver, Englewood, and Fort Collins account for the largest share of senior quality manager openings in Colorado. Denver anchors the market as the state's largest employment center, while Colorado Springs draws heavily from defense and aerospace primes clustered near Peterson and Schriever installations, and Boulder attracts life sciences and advanced manufacturing employers seeking quality leadership for regulated products.
Are there remote senior quality manager jobs in Colorado?
Yes, but they're rare. Quality management at the senior level typically requires on-site oversight of production lines, supplier audits, and lab environments, which limits full-remote arrangements. About 43% of senior quality manager openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those tend to be concentrated in quality systems, compliance documentation, and supplier development functions that don't require a physical production presence.
How can I get hired as a senior quality manager in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a quality engineer or quality technician at a Colorado aerospace or medical device manufacturer, then building toward a senior manager title over several years. Large Colorado employers like Lockheed Martin and Ball Corporation run structured engineering development programs that expose early-career candidates to quality systems from day one. Earning an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer credential while in an associate role signals readiness for leadership and gives candidates a measurable edge over others without formal quality credentials.
Where can I find and apply to senior quality manager jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to senior quality manager jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current Colorado openings. Search the roles that fit your background, industry, and preferred location, then apply directly to the ones that match your experience.
