How do I get a senior technical training developer job in Boston?
Focus your search on Boston's dominant hiring sectors: life sciences and biotech companies in the Longwood Medical Area and Kendall Square, enterprise software and cybersecurity firms in the Seaport District, and major research universities across Cambridge. Employers here prize candidates who can build technical curricula for regulated industries, so experience with compliance-driven training programs and learning management systems gives you a real edge in this market.
Which companies hire senior technical training developers in Boston?
Boston senior technical training developer roles are posted by InterSystems, Amazon Web Services, and Nexamp and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local market is anchored by a mix of large biotech and pharmaceutical employers, healthcare systems, and technology companies that maintain dedicated instructional design and training development teams in the city.
Are there remote senior technical training developer jobs in Boston?

About 49% of senior technical training developer openings tied to Boston are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the most flexibility found in software and corporate training roles rather than regulated lab or clinical environments.
How can I get a senior technical training developer job in Boston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Boston is through instructional design or training coordinator roles at one of the city's many large hospitals, universities, or biotech companies, which often hire junior staff and promote from within. Gaining hands-on experience with e-learning authoring tools like Articulate or Adobe Captivate, and building a portfolio with real training modules, makes you competitive for Boston employers. Volunteer projects with local nonprofits or continuing education programs at area colleges can also fill portfolio gaps quickly.
